What is Medicare
Medicare is the federal government program that provides health care coverage if you are 65 & older, under 65 and receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for a certain amount of time, or under 65 and with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
How to Apply for Medicare
When you’re first eligible for Medicare, you have a 7-month Initial Enrollment Period to sign up for Part A and/or Part B (Original Medicare). If you’re eligible for Medicare when you turn 65, you can sign up during a 7-month period.
How does Medicare Work
There are four parts to Medicare. Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C Otherwise known as Medicare Advantage and Part D which offers prescription drug coverage.
What are Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplements, also known as Medigap policies, are sold by private insurance companies to help you cover the out-of-pocket costs left behind by Medicare. When you have a Medigap policy, Medicare pays up to its limit on your medical expenses
Importance of knowing your Medicare options
The Medicare plan you choose will impact your health care coverage and your pockets for the rest of your years. If you just stuck with original Medicare you would leave yourself open to pay 20% of all services received, and that could add up fast.
Medicare and dental insurance
Medicare has very limited dental coverage that is only meant to protect your general health in order for another Medicare-covered health service to go smoothly. It does not cover routine checkups, cleanings, fillings, dentures, or most tooth extractions.
Hear from Our Clients
My wife found The Key Component. I’m not exactly sure how but I’m really glad she did. Ms. Logan is incredibly informed not just on the plans but on how the plans work how the networks work and how the whole thing is put together. She explains in a way that’s digestible and palatable and she’s brutally honest which is great. The most important thing is she cares about her clients and she cares about health and she’s a great advocate so I recommend her highly.
I’m new to this whole health benefits thing. Amber came to my rescue getting me pointed in the right direction, Explaining everything I was eligible for in a clear and concise manner. Her professionalism and knowledge is outstanding. Without her I’d still be in the dark about my health care providers and benefits. Even now I can contact her with questions or concerns and she’s eager to help. I give her a 10 plus.
